A first for a third time mother

Today I actually held Brooklyn the entire time while getting my teeth cleaned at the dentist. She didn't want to be in the carrier because she is a little spoiled at the moment from all the attention lately. Of course she didn't mind. She just laid on my chest and watched everything with her little neck up. It was a little distracting for the dentist and assistant but hey you got to do what you got to do. I'm sure I will be doing lots of first now that my full time partner in crime has gone to a better place. Jackson seemed to be happier today. It always helps when he has Raain to distract him. He loves Raain so much and tells me that she is his best friend. Bailey is now saying sentences like "I want this Mommy" or "I want to go outside" or "I want to eat cheetos" and many more phrases that begin with "I want". When I ask her how old she is she always says 2. I explain that is next month and she shakes her head no and says 2. She is very excited about her Birthday. We've decided to have her party at the Little Gym on May 31st at 4:30. Jackson's 2nd B-Day turned out so great there and it was stress free which is exactly what I need right now. She loves to do tricks so I'm sure she will love it. I can't believe my Bailey Grace is about to be two.

Spring Performance

img_Apr_28_2008_08_47img_Apr_28_2008_14_59img_Apr_28_2008_15_14img_Apr_28_2008_15_40img_Apr_28_2008_25_22 Yesterday Bailey and Jackson had their open house at Mother's Day Out. Jackson you loved being on stage. In fact you talked about how many more days until I get to do the program all week. You did your gymnastics tricks and even did a cartwheel before it was time and just about knocked out your teacher. You gave everyone a big laugh! Bailey when your class walked in to sit down you saw me and this made for a big fit. You just couldn't understand why you couldn't sit with your Mommy. So after a few minutes of loud screaming...Mommy came to the rescue and sat with all the toddlers. Then you wanted to go on stage so bad and sing but only if Mommy held your hand. You did all of the hand motions and knew all of the words. You got so excited when it was Bubba's turn to sing. You kept yelling "bubba" trying to get his attention. Jackson sang every word with his class and then sang some Spanish songs too. He is for sure a little performer. Mommy spiked your hair for the first time and you thought it was super awesome. You kept looking in the mirror and saying that you were cool like Daddy. You guys made me so proud of course along with all of the other Mommy's who thought theirs were the cutest too! That is one thing I love to do when watching my kids perform or any kids for that matter...is to watch the parents. You see true joy in the eyes of a parent in moments like these. Just watch next time you are at a recital, gym class, play, etc...Sometimes parents will even mimic the words or say the lines at the same time their child is suppose too with out even knowing they are doing it. I love it, love it, love it! I'm not talking about stage moms I'm just talking about a mommy who loves their babies. It cracks me up. Next time I ought to get Josh to take a pic of my face gleaming with pride as a souvenir of the best days of my life.

What a month

I know that God will not give you more than you can handle so evidently God thinks I'm stronger than I feel I am because I feel like I'm in a twilight zone and want to just wake up and it all be a dream. I've heard that when it rains it pours but never have I endured so much tragedy in such a short amount of time. Nanny's sudden death turned my world upside down. I was just telling Josh today that I feel as though something is just missing a piece of me..gone. I know I will adjust but there are too many to count times that I pick up the phone or make a mental note of "o'yeah nanny needs to know" or just wait till Nanny hears what Jacks just said and then of course with in seconds..reality bites. I do have a peace about her because she didn't have to suffer at all and it has shown me how little we are in control of our life and of how long we will be here. It is not ours to control but only God's and he will call us home on his terms not ours. So hard to accept but so very true. I have a few more prayer requests to pass along. On Thursday my Step-Grandfather died of pancreatic cancer. He was just diagnosed in December and it took over his body so very fast. It is the most painful type of cancer you can get and it was so hard to see him suffer. Please pray for my Mamaw Nellie. After seeing him on Thursday in his final moments and just trying to think of what ever I could to make him laugh and let him know to let my Nanny know I wasn't too happy for her leaving me so fast and of course he smiled at me and I even got a little laugh. I prayed with him and felt the Lord's peace about him not having to suffer much longer. My final prayer request is for my sister Kassi. Her mother, 36..a CSI in Little Rock, died Thursday night. She was found by her husband and think it has something to do with her heart that caused her to fall off her porch. We will hopefully know more soon. Kassi is only 14 and from my Dad's previous marriage. We are in shock once again and just need all of the prayers we can get. Thank you so much for all of your emails and words of encouragement. At night is when I try to process my thoughts because I try to be so strong for my babies during the day. I swear I don't know how people that don't know my savior make it. At times when I feel I can't move, speak, or stand he is right there holding me up. God is good..and no we might not like the way life happens sometimes but really all that matters is where we spend eternity and who we spend it with. If I choose to die on the instead and become bitter then I risk loosing myself and my kids seeing that life is truly a gift and to live each day for the Lord..the one that gives and takes away. Long entry I know...but just journaling in hopes that it somehow helps me deal. The kids are doing wonderful. Tonight Jackson was pretending like he was reading his bible and said "Daddy it says Pap-pa Goss, Pap-pa Barry and Nanny are all in heaven....HEY that means there is three friends in heaven!" Josh said he sounded excited to think that Nanny wasn't alone. He is a little unsure about being away from me right now and I know feels a little insecure about who next will be leaving him which makes it hard as a mommy. I'm reading a great book that I would recommend to all..it is called "heaven for kids" by Randy Alcorn, it basically answers all of the questions that kids have about heaven in a way that they can understand. Okay too much thinking for one night. Just please keep us in your prayers. We have a visitation tomorrow and then two funerals on Monday.

Only This

img_May_06_2008_17_10 Only these sweet little faces could bring such joy in my heart at a time of such despair. Yesterday was hard. When I hugged my 14 yr. old sister..I didn't want to let her go. I know exactly how she feels. Such loss...unexpected. Bailey is very excited about turning two. We are having her party at Gymboree Play and Music. Can't wait! Brooklyn is just perfect. I really couldn't ask for a better baby. She has gone with me to every funeral, visitation, hospital visit, etc...and never made a peep. She eats great, sleeps great, and is smiling when she is awake. She laughs if you give her the time of day...it is just amazing. I don't think I could have made it over the last month with out her. It is amazing how much comfort a newborn that is as sweet as her can give. I just can't help but smile when our eyes meet. She is still sleeping sound next to our bed. She wakes up and eats and then goes right back to sleep. She loves to watch her bubba and sissy. She thinks they are hilarous already. She also loves Daddy's silly faces. Please continue to pray for our family and all of the families affected by these three losses.

Nick's Party

img_May_12_2008_17_30img_May_12_2008_20_01img_May_12_2008_20_12 Jackson,
You had such a fun time at Nick's party on Saturday. You were very excited about going. This was the first party you have gone to from someone in your class. Your good friend Daniel was there too. You were in heaven with all of the things to jump on and jump in. You were also proud to show off your two sisters. Right now for some reason you go up to everyone and say "Did you know that I have a new baby sister and she was in MY MOMMY'S tummy and her name is Brooklyn Annelise!" You even walk up to strangers and say this. You aren't shy one bit that is for sure. I could tell you had so much fun and then on Sunday that is all you talked about.

Mother's Day

img_May_12_2008_49_53 We all went to church together and then out to eat. Our Me-Me joined us and we had such a good time together. Last weekend we went to the painted pig and you guys and Daddy helped me make the most beautiful platter ever for Mother's Day. It has Brooklyn's footprint on it and Jacks and Bailey's hand print. I will treasure it forever. Jackson you made me a flower pot with your pic on it and couldn't wait to show me your creation. I couldn't have made it through the day with out the three of you. I must admit though it was hard for me to smile much today. Mother's Day was the hardest day yet since my Nanny has passed. It was like all of the past Mother's Day went back over and over again in my mind. The fact of not having her seemed more real today than ever. It hits so hard sometimes. Just the littlest thing triggers a memory and then I turn to mush. It was also the first time we went to the cementary since the funeral. Jackson also had a hard time when we were there. It is so very hard to explain it to him and I can tell he is insecure about who is going to leave him next. I tell him to remember all of the wonderful memories and that he will see her again. I'm so thankful for our memories and know that I was extremely blessed to have such a wonderful Mother raising me. I never really liked Mother's Day much as a child. Since becoming a mom it for sure took on a new perspecitive but today was just plain hard. I want my Nanny back. My heart hurts because I just miss her so much. I have no regrets I told her all the time what she meant to me but just to have her in the same room with me right now would feel euphoric. I hold on to the fact that I will see her again and we can have hundreds of Mother's Days there. All I can do now is pass on her legacy to my babies and hope she is smiling from above..if not then I know I will hear about it from her when I get there.

Update on my Bailey

img_May_21_2008_06_27img_May_21_2008_07_08img_May_21_2008_07_51img_May_21_2008_08_11 Miss Bailey you are almost two which is so hard for me to believe. You are talking so much. Tonight I told you I loved you so much and you leaned over and put your face up to mine and whispered in my ear "I love you too!" I laughed at you so you kept whispering in my ear and then I would tell you a secert back. It was just precious. You have been sick with allergies over the past two weeks. I took you to the Dr. last week and you weighed 27 pounds. It was the first time you didn't act scared of the Dr. I told you that you would get candy if you let him look at your ears and throat and so right when he walked in you said "candy please". It was hilarous. Then yesterday we had to go back to the Dr. because you had yellow/orange stuff draining out of your ears, down your face. Very gross stuff. The ENT Dr. put you on oral antibiotics and antibiotic drops for the infection. Your tubes did what they were suppose to do and saved you from lots of pain. You are now into singing. You know every word to "All American Girl" by Carrie Underwood and "Watching You" by Rodney Atkins. Your bubba got you on this kick and now Mommy loves to hear you sing them. You also love to dance but are very picky about who you will dance in front of. You even sometimes act shy when you know I'm watching. Still a picky eater. You will eat fish sometimes which makes me very happy. You have also tried jello and applesauce recently which is a big step for you. You love junk food like chips, goldfish, pretzels, and anything sweet. You also love chocolate milk. You also like bananas now too. Your favorite thing to watch on TV is home movies. You always want me to fwd it to your favorite part like of you sliding or swimming. You also love the Haunted Mansion, Praise Baby, and sometimes you will watch the Wiggles. Other than that you don't want anything to do with television. You cry and whine if I put on a cartoon. You would much rather play with your baby dolls, play kitchen, blocks, makeup, go through my drawers, jewelery, etc. Very much a girly girl, which cracks me up. Your favorite thing to do is help me take care of Brooklyn. You also like to sometimes pretend you are the baby and get in her carseat, swing, baby bath, and anything else that you see me do with her. You love to help change her, feed her, hold her, and anything else that involves you helping. Your party is May 31st at 3:30 at Gymboree Play and Music. I am now sick with a sinus infection and can barely talk so I'm thinking that is why you started whispering to me tonight. Hopefully once my antibiotics kick in we will all be well. There still isn't a moment that goes by that I'm not thinking about our Nanny. There are so many times a day I catch myself thinking of what I need to tell her, ask her, etc. So hard and I won't be able to prepare you for this type of pain until you have to face it head on. Your Granny, my mom, is doing great at taking care of Papaw. She has changed so much in the past month. Things that I never thought were possible are now happening and it is a true miracle. God is good and I know he is watching over us every second. My relationship with him is the only peace I get right now and I long for the day when I get to see my Nanny again. For now I'm trying to make my Nanny proud and fight hard to pass her leagcy. Your name means so much to me and I couldn't be happier that you were named after her, Pat Bailey and then her mom's middle name was Grace. She always said you were the light of her life. I love you "little momma".

Jacks

img_May_21_2008_45_31img_May_21_2008_46_03img_May_21_2008_47_00 I haven't updated on you in a while so here it goes...Jackson you are really getting into having friends these days. You always talk about who your best friends are. You talk a lot about Riley, Daniel, Jack, Miles, and Nick from your school. It seems like every weekend is a different party..which you love! Last weekend you had Daniel's bowling party and talked about it all week. You are already talking about who all you want at your party and telling them that they are on your list. You said you want a buzz cake but haven't decided on a location yet. You also talk lots about your uncles and aunts. You tell everyone that I'm your girlfriend. You get very jealous if you see Daddy giving me a hug or kiss. I know I need to enjoy it now because before I know it you will say "ugggh gross"..lol. You are very protective of me and still very much a Momma's boy. You are very strong willed and can't be talked into anything. You like for things to be your idea. You love your new big boy bed. It is a loft bed with a tent on the bottom and side and then it has a slide that you use to get down. You love High School Musical right now and Hannah Montanna...crazy I know. That is what you get for having Aunts into that kind of stuff. You know every song by heart to High School Musical one and two. I can say a certain part of the movie and then you can sing the song that goes with it. You also have some pretty interesting dance moves..you must get them from Daddy. We have had lots of talks about heaven and you never stop asking questions. You get yourself ready everyday and even pick out what you want to wear...most of the time to my amazement it goes together. You also pick out your shoes, socks, undies, etc...and are even trying to wash your hair and fix it by yourself too. You also like to help me cook and prepare your snacks. You love to play baseball and would play it all day if we let you. I can't wait until you start playing Tball next year. You love your gym classes on Thursday. You can already do a cart wheel by yourself and aren't scared to try anything. You still will try anything as far as food goes which makes it so easy on me. You love to just sit down and talk to Mommy about what your best part of the day was which is just precious to me. You are very very loud. We are always saying "use your inside voice" which is still loud. We went out to eat over the weekend and you had the entire restaurant cracking up. You greet everyone and tell them about your family, what you did that day, what you are going to be eating, etc. You are very dramatic and quite a character. You defiantly keep us on our toes. You also love to play school and want me to pretend like I'm your teacher. You raise your hand and everything. You know most of your colors and numbers in Spanish. You can count to over 30 on most days, you can identify some letters..which it depends on the day, you can write your name and spell it for me, you know what country we live in, what state, and can even spell some of your friends names since you look at them at school I'm guessing. Sometimes you are too smart for your own good. As you can tell there is never a dull moment with you. You love to be on the go. Everyday you wake up you ask what we are doing for the day and who you get to visit with. Very much a people person. Unlike your sister you don't play too great by yourself. You love to go to all of your grandparents house and talk about them all the time. You are a ball of energy and so much fun. Love you baby boy!

Happy BABY

img_May_27_2008_42_03img_May_27_2008_42_16 You are just full of laughs, giggles, and smiles all the time. I swear I've never seen a baby that smiles and laughs every second of the day. We are so blessed.

Happy 2nd Birthday Bailey

img_May_31_2008_55_12img_May_31_2008_56_46img_May_31_2008_57_01img_May_31_2008_59_33img_Jun_01_2008_03_41img_Jun_01_2008_04_08img_Jun_01_2008_04_36img_Jun_01_2008_04_54img_Jun_01_2008_05_09img_Jun_01_2008_12_50img_Jun_01_2008_14_54img_Jun_01_2008_15_01 Happy Birthday Sweet-Heart! We had quite a day..an adventure to say the least. Last night after you went to sleep Mommy decorated your room with balloons, streamers,etc..so that way you would know it was an extra special day when you woke up. I had the table covered in suckers, tootsie rolls (your fav) and a few presents from Mommy and Daddy. You woke up in a great mood to say the least. I even let you sneak in a few treats before breakfast. Then during breakfast Jackson got out some chips. Of course Mommy said Jackson no chips right now and then you decided that you thought you wanted that for breakfast too. You were sitting in a bar stool at the bar. You then proceeded to stand up on your bar stool to holler and that is when all you know what broke loose. The bar stool flew back with you in it and it caught your two baby toes underneath. I couldn't get to you fast enough. The back part of the stool ripped off an entire toe nail and messed up your baby toe as well. It was awful seeing my baby in so much pain especially on her special day. After talking with the Dr. they felt you needed to be seen. So off Daddy and I went with all three of you to make sure your toes were okay. Dr. Johnson said you would for sure loose your toe nail and was worried about staph or strep infection getting in it sense you have no covering over it right now. They cleaned it all up, put you on antibiotics and off we went to get your cake and hurry home to make in a nap before your big party. Your toes are very bruised and they said even if it was broke they wouldn't be able to do anything for that but the main concern was about your exposed skin where the nail fell off..so you didn't have to get an x-ray. You are very very tough. You only cried for a few minutes and then just whined every now and then when you would hit your foot on something. You got to eat Burger King for lunch, then took a nap, and then you woke up so so very excited about your party at Gymboree. So many of your friends came to celebrate your big day. I still can't believe you are two. You loved dancing and singing and told me that your favorite part was the slides. You also liked laying in the floor and letting the mat roll over you. You thought it was very cool that everyone sang happy B-Day to you since you have been singing it to everyone else lately. You loved your cake. You didn't want to stop playing long enough to open presents so we did that after you got home. It turned out nice because Jacks stayed the night with Me-Me and so Daddy and I got to enjoy you all to ourselves tonight. You loved all your new stuff and insisted on putting your new babies in the bed with you. Daddy and I got you a talking baby, a baby bassinet to put your babies to sleep in, a new rug for your room, and 101 Dalmatians. You are very into dress up, role playing, baby stuff, and think you are a little momma already. It is hilarious. You had a big day little girl and Mommy hopes your toes get all better soon. I was glad you had your party today because it was a huge distraction from you hurting. It for sure didn't slow you down at the party. In fact besides whining every now and then no one could tell you had hurt yourself. The Dr. said it would take at least three months for you to get another toe nail back. You are just precious. Happy 2nd Birthday Little Momma.

Jacks at the Dentist

img_Jun_04_2008_27_43img_Jun_04_2008_29_59img_Jun_04_2008_30_12img_Jun_04_2008_30_24 Jacks you thought going to get your teeth cleaned was too cool. You were a great patient and they said you are doing a good job taking care of your teeth. You brush your teeth all by yourself. The dentist said when you get a little older you will need oral surgery on the connecting skin from your gum to your lip. It just needs to be cut which doesn't sound like fun at all. Your favorite part of course was getting to pick a prize out of the bucket.

We have a swimmer

img_Jun_17_2008_14_04img_Jun_17_2008_14_14img_Jun_17_2008_14_37 You are swimming by yourself now under water. You can also float on your back and love the water. That is why Mommy put you in swim classes...you are fearless. You ended swim class level one on Thursday and showed off all your new tricks on family night. They said you have excellent motor skills for a three year old and can't believe how coordinated you are in the water. Which is funny because out of water you run into the walls.. probably because you are always moving way too fast. Of course Mommy and Daddy are so proud! You will do level two soon. The swim instructors mentioned the swim team for next year. I'm so glad you love the water and can now swim. We still have lots of practicing to do. Lots of fun to look forward to in the pool this summer.

Saturday we all went to the zoo together. It was such a beautiful day. It was fun seeing you guys explore especially since we haven't been in a while. Jackson your fav was the snakes and merry go round and Bailey loved the birds and monkeys. Brooklyn this was your first trip of many to the zoo...you were awake the entire time and loved being outside. Then we let you guys get out your new toy....your blow up slide w/ a basketball game. We will have to have all your little friends over soon for a playdate to try it out. You guys love it! Sunday we went to church and then to eat with Pops, Uncle J, and Aunt Steph. Then it was back home for more fun on the blow up slide. You guys got Daddy a laptop desk and a few other gadgets. We love you so much Daddy. I'm blessed to have such a loving husband. Our kids have such a special bond with you and count down the minutes until you are home from work. Jackson already ask if it is the weekend yet. Happy Daddy Day! We love you.

Match

img_Jun_27_2008_08_03img_Jun_27_2008_08_32 Bailey..you are too funny right now. Everyday is a new adventure in your little world. You are saying so much and speaking your mind that is for sure. You love for you and Brooklyn to "match" as you call it. Then you want to make sure everyone knows about it. You say "show you" and point to your clothes and then point to her's. You talk to your baby dolls all day long. It is so cute to watch your comfort them. You also have been quite a Mommy's girl over the past month or so. When you get sleepy or hurt you say "Mommy hold you". You are such big helper. Here are some pics of you and your sissy over the past week. You had a play date with William and Collin and loved every second of it. We are having such a fun summer so far.

Lunch with the Davis's

img_Jul_02_2008_22_05 After church on Sunday we went to eat at the Davis's house. All of you guys had so much fun playing together. It was nice to also get some Mommy talk in as well. I can't believe we now have a full couch when we get together. Too precious!

Mommy has had a rough weekend to say the least. First Mr. Jackson got the stomach bug Wed. night and Thursday then we headed to the lake Thursday night and Mommy got it all day Friday and today woke up with a migrane. I'm praying Daddy and the girls don't get it! Mommy even threw up on the boat dock in front of several bistanders. Very good times to say the least. Starting to feel better now that I can keep down food. Yesterday I couldn't even keep down water or sprite so we came home from the lake early. Daddy took Jackson, Bailey, and Raain to watch the fireworks downtown with Grandy, Justin, Heather, Loren, and Koston. I was sad I couldn't go too. With all of that said It didn't matter how awful I felt all I had to do was hold my little baby and I couldn't help but melt because of that big smile that is never ending. Happy 4th.

Fun Friday

Today I took you guys to the Musuem of Discovery. You all had so much fun. We haven't been since they added on "the room to grow section" that is made for kids 6 and under and it was so cute! You all loved it so much that we became members. They do lots of fun stuff there monthly and is a perfect place for a rainy day. They even had a fun football exhibit that of course my lil man loved. Very fun Friday!

Brooklyn and Daddy talking

Three months to the day we lost Nanny. So hard still to believe. I know I talk and talk about just how precious all three of my babies are but thought I would share a moment between Brooklyn and Daddy to show just how sweet she is..since words just can't describe it. Today you had your four month ck up and Bailey had her two yr. ck up. Both of you are sleeping now and worn out from those yucky shots. I will post stats soon.

Bailey 2 year ck up

img_Jul_15_2008_08_04img_Jul_15_2008_08_41img_Jul_15_2008_10_29 Bailey we got your two year check up at the same time as Brooklyn's four month apt. You weren't too happy about your shots but knew that a sucker and sticker were up for grabs so you toughed it out with out too much of a fight. You weighed 27 pounds and was 32 1/4 inches tall. You are in the 50% for height and weight both. You still are very picky when it comes to food. You can tell if you will eat it by sight. You are talking non stop already and are a woman that knows what she wants and how to get it done. You are very very independant and play great by yourself. Your love is still playing Mommy with all your baby dolls and your sissy. You at all times have one in a swing, another in the grocery cart, one at the dr., one in the bath, one in the high chair, one in the cradle, yes...I could go on and on. You even put diapers on them, feed them, rock them, talk to them, you are such a little nuturer. You have tiny feet. Still a size 4.5. You wear a 2T. Size 4 diaper...we are starting to talk about the potty some and you seem interested. You love shoes, pursers, jewelery, clothes, etc. You also love to swim, slide, your blankie and ne-ne, wagon and stroller rides, to swing, books, chocolate milk, and pretending like you are talking on the phone. You are such a complient little girl and usually do what we ask of you with out a battle. You are a little shy...even sometimes you get embarssed when you know I'm listening to you sing or dance. You love the same songs as your brother of course and love to sing them as well. You seem to be less shy when he is with you. He already has that big bro protective thing going on with you. Love you Miss Bailey Grace.

Almost Four

img_Jul_16_2008_19_58img_Jul_16_2008_20_23img_Jul_16_2008_21_39 Can't believe my little boy is almost four. You are 100% All boy. Full of energy, laughs, running, jumping, wonderful hugs and kisses, and lots of questions these days. You are such a happy boy. You also have a spunky personality that keeps me on my feet at all times. You also always know when I need "love" as you call it. You officially look like a big boy now. You love to swim, play outside, play with your Aunt Raain, Uncle Luke, and Aunt Savanna. You are becoming quite the protector with Bailey. You always help me with her too. You have now learned how to buckle her in her car seat and get her out as well. You have masterred your own seat belt too. You can't wait until your birthday. You have decided to have a pirate party at River City Gymnastics on Aug. 23 at 3. We can't wait. Then on Aug. 30th you actual b-day we are going to go to your fav place..Wild River Country. Then that night we leave for the beach for a week. So very excited. Last minute trips are always the best. No matter how big you get you will always be my little baby boy.

I could just eat you up!

img_Jul_20_2008_52_31img_Jul_20_2008_53_29 We did your four month pics a few weeks ago and I saw these two on your photographers blog. I go tomorrow to see the proofs and can't wait. You were just miss Smiley as always. I can't get enough of you! I had to be away from you all day yesterday to go to a church thing and then Daddy and I hosted a fun Honey Do Shower for Uncle J and Steph. Last night you stayed up at the party with the big boys until almost midnight because no one wanted to put you down including me! Jackson and Bailey stayed with grandparents so you got to sleep in Bailey's bed. I didn't hear a peep from you until 8 this morning. And the night before you went down at 9pm and didn't wake up until 7am to eat and then went back to sleep. You love the rainforrest and ocean fisher price sound soothers. You just talk and coo and look at the fishes until you go to sleep. No more cryin yourself you to sleep since I've put you in there. Bailey's big girl bed should be in this week and it can't get here fast enough. Looks like all three of you are going to have those pretty blue eyes. Your eyes almost look fake they are such a pretty color. Bailey..you are talking up a storm...it seems like a new phrase or sentance every minute. You love love love babies including your lil sis. It is so sweet. Love you sweet pea! Mommy

Pool Time

img_Jul_20_2008_02_53img_Jul_20_2008_03_14img_Jul_20_2008_03_36 You guys go swimming almost everyday. Grandy and your Aunt Patti are doing a great job at maintaining Nanny and Paps' pool so all the kids can still enjoy it. It is so hard to be there with out her but I know that is where she would want you guys to be. Your Grandy (my Mom) even tries to carry on some of the traditions Nan did like those sandwhiches, snacks, and watching all you guys do tricks. Jackson we are practicing a lot on swimming with out help. You are very brave. Bailey you like to just hang on to the side or in a raft. You love to swim but want to be by the edge if at all possible. We have made improvements like you jumping in to me and swimming to the steps a few feet. You are a little more cautious than your brother. Here are a few pics.

During the day your soon to be Aunt Steph had her family shower. The girls went with me and you got to have some fun "boy time" as you call it with Daddy. You said you played "hard baseball". You would play baseball all day if you could. On Friday Mommy took you guys along with Uncle Luke, Aunt Savanna, Aunt Raain, and also Aunt Steph to the museum of Discovery and then to the Riverfront play area. We ate lunch at the flyin fish. You guys were so good for me and Steph. Today is my Nanny's BDay. She would have turned 72. I miss her so. I still can't believe she is no longer with us. When my phone rings a lot of times before realizing it I think it is her calling. The other day Jackson told me how much he missed his Nanny and Bailey you have been asking if you can love on her. Here are some pics of you guys having a fun weekend.

4th B-Day Party

img_Aug_24_2008_41_10img_Aug_24_2008_41_24img_Aug_24_2008_41_43 Jackson's B-Day party was at River City and he had such a blast. We had it at the River City Gym because they had a cool pirate ship with slides, a foam pit, tumble trac, and lots of more fun stuff for the kids to do. He wanted a pirate party so it worked out perfect. You loved your treasure chest with the party favors in it and asked if you could keep it forever once your friends got the treasure out. You didn't stop movin the entire time. I think your fav was the slides that went into the foam pit and the high bar that you could hang on and land in the pit. You had lots of little friends come and celebrate with you. Mommy will try to list them so one day you can see...Of course Bailey, Brooklyn, your Me-Me, Grandy, Pops, Mam, Poppa, Uncle Luke, Aunt Savanna, Aunt Raain, Uncle Robbie were there. Some of your friends there were: Kiley, Barrett, Branton, Henry, Loren, Koston, Noah, Pierce, Braden, Abby, Layne, Maggie, Mimi, Ruby, Ava, Chloe, Eva, Tate, Miley, William, Collin, Geoffrey, Daniel, Bo, and Berkley. A lot of these are Mommy's friends' kids and it is so wonderful to watch you guys grow up together. We are so blessed with family and friends. It was hard not having our Nanny there but I know she is so happy. Your B-Day is next Saturday..which is a holiday weekend and we plan on just spending the day at Wild River Country before heading out to the beach. When we walked out of the party and were outside loading the car you said, "Mommy am I now four years old?" I said, "Not yet but close." I know that has to be hard to understand. Happy Birthday Baby Boy!! Here are lots of pics of your special day. Thanks to all that were able to come and help make our little man feel special.

Happy Birthday

img_Sep_01_2008_46_54img_Sep_01_2008_47_10img_Sep_01_2008_48_18 You are an official four year old. Daddy and I can't believe we have a four year old now. Four sounds so much older than three. Just looking back at your third b-day to now it is amazing how much you have grown up. On Thursday you celebrated with your classmates. You started the four year old class last week and love it. Your new teacher is wonderful. You picked out baseball cupcakes for the boys and Hannah Montanna for the girls. Then on Sat..your b-day, we spent the day at Wild River Country with your Aunt Raain, Savanna, and Kassi and Uncle Luke and of course your sis Bay. Grandy came along to help. If only Uncle Jimmy could have been there Mommy would have had all of my siblings. We then came home and you got to open up a few gifts from Mommy and Daddy. You got some camp rock drums, a guitar, a sit and ride scooter, buzz shoes, and some baseball stuff. We had such a fun day. You loved the water park so we went ahead and got all of us season passes for next summer. Love you baby boy! We are hoping to leave at the end of the week for the beach...just a little delay due to the hurricane. Thank goodness there isn't any damage and we can still go. We can't wait to end our fun summer on the beach.

It makes for some late nights and some skipped naps but so worth it once it is all said and done. We started with Christmas at Mam's with a traditional ham dinner with all the fixins..found out my cousin Britt is expecting so of course that just made my night, then the next night we went to Poppa and Gigi's house. We ordered pizza, went in our Pj's, and had such a blast. Then the next night was Papaw Don and Grandma's house. Christmas Eve our house, church, then Christmas am at our house, lunc and support right now. Love to u all!

My baby

img_Jan_27_2009_06_04img_Jan_27_2009_07_53img_Jan_27_2009_09_38img_Jan_27_2009_11_07img_Jan_27_2009_12_41img_Jan_27_2009_13_06img_Jan_27_2009_14_02img_Jan_27_2009_14_33 Not only is the way she chooses to crawl hard to believe but also that my baby is now over ten months old. Miss Brooklyn you are such a spunky, happy, energetic, smiley, smart, funny, sweet, cuddly, strong, talkative, loving little girl! You love to make others smile and don't have a problem doing it. You are very mobile and choose some funky ways to get around. You know how to crawl in the normal way and do it sometimes but most of the time you choose the way in the pics. You are getting very fast at your monkey crawl too. Okay very obvious that you love to eat. You get excited and start kicking your legs and clicking your tongue to make sure we know to give you a plate at dinner time. You love Mommy's spaghetti, pizza, ckn fingers, carrots, roast beef, ice cream, anything sweet for that matter, the gerber toddler trays you will eat but you would much rather eat from our table! You also love tacos, cheese, sausage, hamburgers, peas, cheetos, okay you get the point you for sure love food and we don't have to worry as of now of u being a picky eater. which is such a relief. You can drink out of a big girl cup. You get excited the most when your brother or sister walks into the room. It is precious. You also think your Daddy is pretty special! You can free stand but then squat low until your bottom hits the floor because you are nervous about falling. You can pull up, hold onto to things, wave bye bye, give your baby dolls kisses, give me kisses, clap your hands, play peak a boo, and you love to dance. In fact you already love music and love to act silly with your siblings. You also like to pretend like you are doing a flip. You like to put lots of things in your mouth and I say "no, no" and you get startled and then I say spit it out and usually you will spit it out in my hands. You are in the 90% for height and weight and are already saying some words. You can wave and say bye, you say bubba, dadda, momma, kissin noises when givin love, nana when you want your ne-ne or food, and you don't get made too often but when you do watch out bec. you hold your breath and are very dramatic. You love the song how much is that doggie in the window, if your happy and you know it, and twinkle twinkle little star. You love to be on the go and have fun shopping with Mommy. You are my sweet little angel and already mean the world to Jacks and Bay. Speaking of them..they are two peas in a pod right now and play non stop all day together when they can. It melts my heart. Very into playing house. Jackson goes to work and tells Bay what to do while he is gone. Hilarious! What a year we've had. This time last year I was on bed rest and in the most pain I've ever been in to date. I would do it ten times again though to have you. I know every momma would say that but I truly would do anything to have you as my little girl. God has blessed us so very much. I went to an orthopedic dr. at ortho ar this week for some joint issues I'm still havin. Ten times better than I was even 6 months ago but not totally pain free just yet. I can't believe its been over nine months with out my Nanny. It really does just seem like yesterday she was driving me to physical therapy but then at times it seems like years since I've heard her voice. I wake up everyday and still have to remind myself that she is gone. My kids still talk about her daily and ask so many questions. I hope she can see my sweet babies growing. Not sure what those in heaven are can see but at least maybe God can tell her how perfect my little baby is now since she was only four weeks old when Nanny passed and also that my health is doing better. My mom is still doing great. I'm so proud of her. Nine months of taking care of my Papaw full time and now is raising my siblings. Such an answer to prayer. Just have a lot on my mind and wanted to update everyone with my baby Brooklyn. If only she could be a baby a little longer. I love you little girl! Love, Mommy

My poor lil guy

img_Mar_05_2009_17_55 Jackson went in at 5am today for a tonsilectomy. He is home already and is having a hard time with the fact that he can't eat and that he has to be still. Poor baby is so tired especially since all of the pain meds and pheneghren but just can't go to sleep. He hasn't even dosed off once since waking up from surgery at 9ish this am. His favorite part was the wagon ride before they took him back and his worst part so far was wanting the iv out and fighting like a bull to get it out for over an hour. The Dr. said that his tonsils were huge so we are hoping now he will be breathing right in his sleep. It might even knock out that bear snore he has. So sorry little man. I promise it will get better soon. The Dr. said the 7th day is the worst because that is when the scabs come off. I'm trying to make a huge deal about getting to be home with just me and u and watching movies and eating ice cream. Tomorrow you can have milk products and not just jello and juice. You love food so I really think this is the hardest part of it all. Hang in there! Love, Mommy

It was time for Miss Bay to get a hair cut. She was so excited and loved being at the salon. Part of that all girl thing for sure. The first thing that she said when she saw it was "I need to call my Daddy?" I asked her why and she said "because I need to tell him I got a haircut and that I love it!" Such a big girl..especially now with that big girl hair cut. Mommy loves it!

What a week

So we have had quite a week to say the least. On Saturday Bailey got a high fever and complained of a sore throat. Monday we went to the Dr and it was a viral throat infection so no meds. They did send her home with pain meds because her throat was so yucky. Well no luck getting her to drink that but she did take Motrin pretty good. She didn't drink much for three days and didn't eat food for eight days. Yes..crazy! Very long long nights in the Verdell household would be an understatement. She did start to eat again today so it is a huge praise. We went back to the dr. on Thursday because she wasn't improving. Just not a lot they could do except make sure she wasn't dehydrated. Well today my poor little Jacks is now complaining when he swallows so I'm praying that since he doesn't have tonsils it might not hit him the same. I was also sick this past week along with Brooklyn getting her shots and having a yucky tummy for 24 hrs afterwards. Highlight of the week was Jackson and Daddy walking in to my room while I was sick and said close your eyes..surprise...with an amazing new laptop with all the fixins. Beautiful huge screen and can hold so much more memory. I am pumped. It was my Mother's day present but they couldn't wait til Sunday and I'm glad they didn't. Thanks Daddy. Last weekend Jackson had a tball game and opening ceremony. Then on Sunday was the open house at the ELC. He did gymnastics and singing during the performance. The child loves to be on stage. He grins so big the entire time. It was so much fun to watch him. Bailey was sick so she missed singing with her friends but she cheered on her bubba. Well another big milestone this week is my baby Brooklyn is taking 6-8 steps at a time, making all kind of animal noises, loving to talk, and is also starting to throw some hilarious fits throwing arms, legs, body and all while grinning at the same time. She is going to be dramatic even though she is a happy bug she likes attention, thrills, people, and isn't very shy. She is such a stinker for sure. Also Miss Bailey decided to throw her Ne-Ne in the trash!!!!! Yes her passy is gone and I'm so happy. At the same time it means that any part of her toddler baby look is gone. I have been telling her that her bubba did this on his third bday so he could get big boy presents and that she would need to do it too to get to be a big girl. She wasn't happy about the idea but then once her throat started to hurt I could tell it was bothering her so I told her I had a big girl bday present already and she could have it early if she threw it in the trash for another baby to have. She was excited about it and did it. I was in shock because I have been dreading the day she turned three because of her attachment to it. In fact I was scared to post until I knew it was a thing of the past. Well day seven and counting..no ne-ne. She doesn't want Brooklyn's and is very proud of herself. So today we went and got a goldfish for her accomplishment. She was elated and couldn't wait to get home and show Jackson and her Daddy what she picked out. She named him "bubba" which I thought was precious. She feed him and Jackson has already asked where he will go when he dies. O if only I could record some of our conversations around here. He asks me how does your brain tell your arm to move and then it does it and why can't you see air and what is inside our bones and what makes a car go and i know Jesus was on a cross and died but what on the cross killed him. He is such a deep thinker and my little man full of questions and deep thought. Just wanted to write down because I know I will forget all of the little funny things he says. Here is the pics of him over this past week.

My lil bro graduated today. We are so proud of him. Nanny and Paps we know r too. We had a little party for him after the graduation ceremony and had a lot of fun getting all the fam together. It was hard because it was a holiday weekend plus Ashur pitched yesterday in the college World Seris in Idaho last night which by the way they won~!!!! We missed all those that were out of town and couldn't be there. I made a short little video for the tv of some of my favorite pics of him to show. He loved it! I couldn't have a better brother. His heart is just beautiful. Way to go Bookie, btw...his nickname...from birth until Jr. High. It's so funny because all of my friends from High School and College still call him by this name and I have to think twice about who they are asking about. We love u bro. He is interested in math so it must run in the family!

some more good times

All three will be home with me everyday and I'm looking forward to non busy mornings, lots of time in the water and sun, and some fun trips along the way! Here are some pics from a few weeks ago at what the kids call "the farm". It was for Cailey and Chloe's Bday. The kids can't get enough of the water right now. We have already been to Wild River Country twice. In fact Miss Bailey did the rapids yesterdays and some pretty big slides which shocked us. Jackson and Bailey love the backyard and Miss Brooklyn loves to watch and join the fun too. Her favorite thing to do right now is swing and go on walks. Jackson is fearless for the most part and all boy when it comes to getting messy and seeking adventure. They keep talking about the beach and we leave real soon. We are also taking along two Grandmas for help so we are all looking forward to getting to spend quality time with them and the kids. How many more days? How many more days?..is the theme right now around here. Jackson is very independant. He knows how many minutes to put in easy mac, bacon, sausage, popcorn, and a few other things. It amazes me on his memory with numbers especially. He still ask some very deep and critical thinking questions. Some I have to get back to him on in fact. Bailey's favorite thing to do is play house and dress up. Brooklyn already plays make believe which is just precious. She pushes around strollers and makes sounds like the babies are crying. Then comforts them and pretends like she is feeding them. She also likes to play with little people and doll house stuff and sets up the figures where they go even. Today is Raain's last day of school and we are excited to get to spend some fun times with her as well. Savanna spent the night with us over the weekend and her and Jackson play so good together as well. She loves to do a lot of the same things that I did when I was her age. Then you got Luke and Bailey who have a unique bond as well. Luke is a rough and tough boy but not when it comes to her and Brooklyn. They are crazy about him. Jackson and Luke have so much fun playing ball together. Even though it isn't considered traditional to have siblings the same age as my kids, it is such a gift. I honestly couldn't imagine it any other way. Here are some pics of you guys. Love u to pieces.

Jackson I have to say it is amazing already for me to watch you play ball. You are so into it and we can't believe what a natural you are. You are focused and love to make outs and hit. You do these little celebration dances each time you do one of these things and it is precious. You also like to slide and get dirty. Typical boy stuff! Just about everyday when you know it is close for Daddy to be getting off work you get all your baseball stuff set up in the yard and wait for him on the front porch with your glove and baseball. How many more minutes is a common question around here. Here are some pics of you doing what you love to do most.

Wrap Up

img_Jun_11_2009_11_27img_Jun_11_2009_13_55 This past weekend was the finale to your first tball season. You had a game Friday night and Saturday and then had your end of the season party at Chuck E Cheese. You loved getting your trophy and playing with all your friends. In fact you got several of the boys numbers so we can do some play dates this summer. You are really getting into making friends and talking about them. Here are some of my favorite pics over this past week. Your sisters love to watch you play and Mommy does too. You are sad that your season is over and have already asked if you will get to be on the same team again next year. You are super pumped about the beach. We leave in a few days and can't wait!!! Mamaw and Meme are going with us too! We have been loving our blow up water slide in the backyard. Hours and hours of fun is an understatement. Also we have already been to Wild River Country four times. Your hair is getting so blonde and your little tan lines are already making their mark of fun in the sun. Mommy is enjoying are time all together. One of the many reasons I know summer will always be special to me.

Fun on the 4th

WOW...I think we are just now back into the swing of things from our fun trip to the beach. We have spent the last few weeks catching up with family and friends, unpacking, swimming, playing, eating, swimming, TV, okay u get the picture. I have had my Papaw Calvin the last three days or so and am in much need of one of those sleeps that nothing could wake u out of. So San Diego with Daddy is at the most perfect timing for some R and R. Hoping to come back a new Momma! This past holiday weekend was probably the most fun we have had with friends in a long time. So many little ones the same age playing and laughing while Mommy and Daddy got to catch up with old and new friends. There is nothing like friends that is for sure. Mommy is already praying that you all three find friends that bring joy into your life’s and build you up in Christ. So very important. Especially since I have two little girls in the house that are so relational. I'm blessed to have three kids that will always have each other’s back, maybe not in the house but for sure against the world...lol. The older my siblings get..Btw mommy has five of them ranging from 5 to 18 at the moment so I have come to value the deep imbedded ties there and that will always be there. Not to mention my first cousins have always been my brothers and sisters in my heart since we grew up basically in the same house. There isn't anything I wouldn't do for them and if I didn't have them during all of the sorrows it would have made it that much harder. I guess I'm reflecting on "yes, is it hard to have three kids four and under? Of course!" But, at the same time our prayer is that we are giving you the gift of togetherness and unity and a built in support system even after we are gone, which is the plan anyways. Tonight I took you all to Dora Live along with Aunt Raain and Savanna. It was so cute to see all of my lil ducklings in a row having so much fun together and holding hands. It rocks having sisters and brothers the same age as you 3 because I get to enjoy watching them discover life with you rather than figuring out life at the same time as me. Do we get funny crazy looks on what exactly or might I add how exactly we all go together since we have a Hodge podge of different ages, races, looks, and sizes of what appears to be all of our children we it's just Daddy and me with u all? Of course! But what a way to introduce you guys to what a family means. It is not four walls with the ideal car, pretty house and yard and little stair steps with pretty clothes. It is the meat under the skin that brings security to the heart. I pray that all of you have eyes to see and ears to hear on the things of this world that matter. I'm telling all of this to myself as well because it is so easy to lose sight of why we are here. How many times did I go to God and thank him today, or ask for forgiveness, or pray without ceasing in my mundane tasks. He is the only source of true heart change and fulfillment and I see the daily battle of how easy it is to think I can do it all myself. Why? I tell myself after I have fallen, why didn't I just ask for his arms before now, why when I know how much comfort he gives do I wait until I'm depleted to step his direction. Mommy has so much I can't wait to experience and share with each one of you. I just hope there is enough of me at the end of each day to bring warmth and smiles on those pretty little faces. Here are pics from the 4th. First we went to Uncle J and Aunt Steph for some grilling out, then the Travs game with friends, then Romance for a family cookout and swimming, then fireworks at the Head's house, then Daddy's work for the big show on the river. Sunday was for sure a day of rest, of course after church and eating lunch at Mexico Chiquita..Our usual. Man I;m glad I have somewhere to vent and just let it out. I guess that is why blogs are all the rage these days. No telling by the time u r grown what forms of tech u will use to express yourself. I love being your Mommy. Love, Mommy ps san diego san diego san diego

Here are some pics that Gigi took of u guys with her camera. I had to resize them for here so sorry if they are a lil fuzzy. I look back at pics even from last summer and I feel like I am able to hold on tighter to those memories because of the personality and expressions I captured from my obession of documenting it with video or picture. Here are some over the past few weeks. Jackson, you got to go with Gigi, Luke and Savanna to NW AR for a few days and went to a water park, drive through zoo which looks so fun, and more! I got in some fun QT with the girls and I will never forget how tight you held onto me once you got home from your first trip away with out Mommy and Daddy. You are growing up so fast. PreK 4 starts next month! Yikes.

san diego

img_Jul_16_2009_32_05 We got an amazing opp to go to San Diego. Daddy needed to go to an upper management conference and it just so happened to be at the Hilton Bay front in San Diego, CA. Mommy's fav city in the world!!! When you hear people say the weather couldn't be much more perfect than there, it is very true. When I would go there in high school and college and I can remember it being so nice outside always but for some reason...maybe 8-9 more yrs of life on my belt as well as traveling to more places....I must say this city is a FAV for sure. I can't wait to do a family trip here sometime. So we flew in yesterday afternoon and I was in awe when we got to the hotel. It is a contemporary decorator’s dream comes true for sure. The architecture is pure beauty along with all the features like the salt water heated outdoor pool, spa on site, starbucks in the hotel, fox sports on site, the bay RIGHT here out the front doors, hot tubs, store, ...but I must say the best part is the way it feels when you are outside here. I swear I can breathe better. I was too young to appreciate the serenity, crisp clean cool air, landscape and more like I do now so in other words I'm having a blast. This is the first time since giving birth to Jackson, Josh and I have been away together for longer than two nights. We have taken 2 night stays before but never like this. It was hard to leave Brooklyn and Bailey the most because Jackson is able to understand and was super excited about all he is doing back home. This is the first time I can remember in a long time Daddy and I just get to actually have a conversation and can really enjoy just being together. It has already been a breath of fresh air.....literally too! Daddy has a meeting today and then conference tom and Friday. Then Sat and Sun we can do whatever whenever we want. O yes and Thursday night we are going to watch the padre's play at petco park ballpark. It is right across from our hotel. Here is a pic of our view. You guys are getting to switch houses between me-me and pops and then Aunt Steph and Uncle J will have you this weekend. We miss you so so much but we were in much need of some grown up time away from home. Our course we couldn't do this no matter how big the need was without our wonderful supportive family watching you. We could never repay the value of this time together in such a perfect setting and not having to pay. Thanks again!! Here is a pic of our view. Time for a nap!!! Yes mommy's get naps too.

Update on life

img_Aug_09_2009_14_58img_Aug_09_2009_15_23img_Aug_09_2009_17_07img_Aug_09_2009_17_33 wow..how fast our summer has flown by. I can't believe we only have one week lft before school starts. Well what have we been up to. Lots of fun with friends and family, Bailey has started dance class at Marissa's Dancers, Brooklyn can do just about any and everything her siblings are doing, she is saying more words than I can list and is addicted to her ne=ne and such a mommy girl right now,Jackson learned to ride a bike with no training wheels tonite on his first try..crazy I know, I've had a few issues with health stuff but am currently on a medication that seems to be helping so much, praise God. I've started an ebay business on the side selling stuff for other people when they don't have the time or desire then I cut them the check for their share. So far so good, I sold over 40 listings over the last two weeks. So fyi if u want me to sell anything for u I have over 200 stars with 100% feedback! now back to my fam...Raain is growing up so fast it seems along with my other siblings, My little brother Jimmy is about to start college along with he got a job for the Post Office in the Heights...I'm so so proud, that was Nanny and Papaw's dream was to see him wk there so I know she is smilin right now, Ashur just signed with the Orielos..it's official he leaves tomorrow, Autumn graduated from OT school with her masters yesterday so she is now an occupational therapist and done with school and clnicals for good, My Mom is still doing good and taking care of my Papaw Calvin who is still getting worse with Althzimers. He is in the last stages of the disease and it is painful to see. He is still so very sweet and smiles all the time. I miss my Nanny everyday all day if you haven't noticed. My kids..especially Jackson talks about her a lot. I was recommended for leadership with women's minestry's so I'm going to co-lead a bible study on Tuesday ams on your child's love languages which I'm very excited about. Jackson starts school this fall in 4K. He is very excited. Bailey will go 2 days a week to 3K and then next year Jackson and Bailey will be at the same school again. Josh is now going on his second year as a CPA Audit Manager, Jackson is also asking to fish and golf and play ball everyday, we have done so many fun things this summer including the beach, museum, wild river country with the Carltons and Davis's, fun adventures with the Ezzi's, Head's, Smith's, Rice's, and Poe's. From cookouts, parties, fireworks, travs game, fishin and watersliden we always have the best of times. I can't remember laughing so much which is good meds for the soul. Let me not forget to mention the longest me and Daddy have been away from the little ones alone...SAN DIEGO! Which was so much fun. My cousin Britt had a beautiful little boy, Logan, this week. One of my very good friends from high school,Kristan, is about to have a little boy next month..which I can't wait to see. Aunt Steph and Uncle J are coming up on their one year ann. this week which is just crazy! Seems like just yesterday. The kids love doing stuff with them so much. Already can't wait for cousins for them..when that day comes! Me-Me has to start back to work tomorrow..YUCK!~ I so wish she could be retired already..don't much longer Me-Me..you are the greatest meme ever to have helped us so much with the kids this summer on your time off. They love being at your house...its their home away from home. Pops has had more Kidney stones in the past month than I have fingers and toes so we just like him are so ready for all of them to pass. Please keep him in your prayers. I'm looking forward to some one on one time with my baby B and ready for some cooler weather so we can make some visits to the zoo and park again. The kids are already asking how many days until Branson, Halloween, etc...Holidays are a big deal around here and so are traditions. We have implented a quarter system with the kids that seems to be workin good. They each get a jar of quarters with 5 dollars each in it and evertime they forget one of their chores, don't listen, or break a rule a quarter is taken from their jar and put into me and Daddy;s date night jar. You would think I was pulling a tooth out over the way they get so upset. But thanks to a good friend that shared her system and had success I thought it was worth a try. Also the kids..Jacks, bailey, and when Rain is here visiting have more chores and now a chore chart. it is working well for now. They like marking things off so it helps. I'm excited about the fall but also sad about our days of summer coming to an end. No more sleeping in, late breakfast, lazy cartoon am, swimming til lunch, etc...I feel so blessed to share all of this with them. They make me so happy! Here a few updated pics over this past week or so.

friends

true friends are a treasure
and what makes a treasure a treasure?

value, significance ,uniqueness, & beauty
treasure in small ways by the value of having a friend that loves me for me

comfort given that brings significance deep within,

uniqueness because a treasure can't be replaced

a treasure is not easily found, sometimes we think we have found the treasure of our dreams only to find out that its stones are fake indeed.

they crack in the storms, tarnish & fade over time

for a treasure isn't a treasure if you are the only one investing just to see it shine

a treasure always shines regardless of admiration and love without ever saying a word

no need to be reminded when a treasure is found for actions are always louder than words
Remember the enemy will try to steal your treasures away
However a true treasure doesn't rock nor sway, it stands the test of time
Even the treasure hunters that step on and in the way
Trying to weave a web of self distruction because they long to see the light and shine go out

Those that build life on the rock, will have the best treasures of all

Some look a lifetime for a treasure and let God's hand play a role
They choose to store their treasure on the one stone that can save all
Or those that start with good intentions but only to let it fall into a huge hole
A hole that was only meant for Jesus, all you have to do is reach out and call

upon the treasure that never leaves, is always there no matter how much it puts on the heart, this treasure can't stop growing and giving, and insist on giving comfort to those that take the time to know
what loving others is all about

When you don't love your treasures and don't spend the time with what matters most,
lt all gets lost to the core of the treasure and can only fall, meaning of life is altered
forever changed, always yearning for something more
if all one did was take our treasures to the Father
and just wait for him, he will open the door.

O,how a treasure can make one see the world in the way its meant to be seen.

Uplifting, joyfull, full of wonder, and peace

Happy 7 Yrs!

img_Aug_22_2009_11_35img_Aug_22_2009_12_36img_Aug_22_2009_13_28 We had a fun anniversary. We don't get a lot of time to just be us anymore so when we do it is a very special treat. I took Daddy a lil surprise to his office to let him know I was thinkin of him and then he told me to be ready in something nice at 6. Uncle J and Aunt Steph watched the kiddos and we went to eat on one of Mommy's fav places..Ashley's at the Capital Hotel. We went there for both of our high school proms and for a few extra special dates. Daddy arranged for our name to be printed on the menu and for me to have a special dessert. Then he gave me a sweet clothing gift card and we finally got to catch up with talking. A very fun night for sure. Thansk again babe! love u much.

Bailey is going two days a week to prek3 and Jackson is going everyday to 4K. He loves his teacher, Ms. Sims. Bailey also loves her new class and teachers. She is in the same class her bubba was in so she thinks she is big stuff. Jackson is loving his new friends. He gets up and takes a shower every am, then dresses himself..belt and all then likes to make his own lunch and even warm up his own breakfast. Mr. Independant. He loves his Daddy time on the way to school and thinks it is super cool that he gets to leave the house at the same time with him every am. Mommy is getting some special one on one time with her baby girl Brooklyn who is now 17.5 months old which is just crazy. She is hilarous and full of it!!! Here are some pics of thier first day. Mommy almost teared up with Jacks but decided I would save those tears for next year!

Jackson's 5 Today

img_Sep_04_2009_09_11 Jackson,
My sweet baby boy, Happy 5th Birthday. It really is crazy that you are five today. It seems just like yesterday you were a newborn and so hard to believe that five years have already come and gone. You bring so much energy and life to our home and it is very apparent when you are absent. Daddy and I both agree that our house would not be near as fun if we didn't have you. You are still All-boy but a very affectionate sweet Mommy's boy too. You love baseball, football, golf, fishing, bike riding, talking about Jesus and the Bible, singing, performing for who ever will watch and love to laugh. You love your new school and are very mature as far as getting yourself ready and packing your luunch. You love your sisters and little new babies as well. You love to eat too. Any and every thing. Your favs include tomatoes, salad, spaghetti, pizza, veggies, pb&j's, and anything else that doesn't eat you first. You talk about our vacations a lot and can't wait to go back to Disney World. You enjoy time with all your family and if it were up to you would visit someone every day. You love to go and do and always have. It has been an adventure and I can't believe that five yrs from now you will be as old as your Aunt Raain. Just mind blowing and a little scary for your Momma to think about. You never stop asking questions or talking. Very deep critical thinker which keeps us all on our toes. I wish I could keep u my little boy forever but so excited about the journey with you ahead. You are my everything and I love you so very much. Happy Birthday! Love, Mommy

5th Bday Party

Here is most of the pics from Jackson's pirate party. He wanted it at River City again and asked his Aunt Steph to make him a pirate ship cake with sharks. It was so so cute. I swear the woman could do this for a living!! Jackson enjoyed playing with all his friends.

Fighter to the end...

img_Oct_15_2009_03_59img_Oct_15_2009_13_16img_Oct_16_2009_41_31
As you know Papaw Bailey was diagnosed with Althzimers in 99. Ten years of slowing loosing the ability to take care of yourself is I feel one of the worse things possible to have. It takes away all of the memories, thought patterns, livelihood, confidence, drive, personality, and can then take away the ability to even remember how to breathe on your own. Papaw has been such a fighter through all of this but never lost hope on a cure. He never lost faith, he never stopped praying for a miracle, and even now when you say papaw do you want to go to Church, he pops up and says o'yes! It is precious. A side of Papaw I've always admired and wanted in my own walk. The fight to keep going, no matter the circumstance, rest on the Word and you can stand is what he said to me over and over. He was faced with obstacle after obstacle. From losing a baby sister as a child, to seeing his own child walk down such a brutal road, his third grandchild in a wreck at 8 months old and not making it, raising me until I was grown, then starting all over again for the third time with my brother and sister. He loved to sing to me on the way to school especially, only he would make up the songs, he told me stories all the time about my favorite people in the Bible, he loved the song Elvira and would sing it just like they did, he loved nap time and snored with the best of them, he loved anything Nanny cooked, said, did, heard for that matter, she was his sweet-heart and he always said she was a Good woman for putting up with him all these years (of course with a grin on his face). He worked at the Post Office until they told him to retire because the disease had started to take away his ability to focus clearly (let me not forget to add that he had retired from the Railroad though before he ever began at the Post Office (he always said he didn't care how many times he retired he was working till he couldn't or died) a provider in every sense of the word, when he got off at the post office he would go to his next business on the River, he owns land behind the Clinton library and it was his dream to turn into something big, he built his own docks and to this day still has boat customers. Him and his brother were as close as brothers can be and had so many plans together. His brother passed away 11 years ago of a sudden heart attack and Papaw was never quite the same. Shortly after he started having a few slips ups, like where he put his keys, phone (yes he even had a cell phone which he thought was a little too much for him but Nanny insisted with him down on the river at night in not the best side of town), remote, and then bigger things like if he had already brushed his teeth, eaten, and then even where the bathroom was. We had to beg to get him to the Dr in 99 but I think deep down he knew. I studied all the research on meds and we had some success and some not so good side effects but one thing I will say is that he never was mean or became aggressive. He always said he was doing good and smiled ALWAYS. I remember when I had Jackson and he always said "she is just so pretty" He knew that he was mine but could never remember his name. Then when we would remind him he would said "Action Jackson" or Michael Jackson or even Jason Jackson(which was someone I went to school with.) He watched him some with Nanny and just thought he was the best thing ever. When we would have to correct him he would say "o brooke u know I’m slippin a little" As time went on he sat back and listened mostly. I feel he was always scared of looking silly or messing up someone’s name, or hurting someone else's feelings. He even at restaurants would say "now Pat, you know what I want you order for me" Which wasn't like him before. He still would just smile so sweet at everyone and say "how are you doing" to everyone he met. He never met anyone that I know of that didn't like him. Once he retired at the Post Office, he was still determined to get out and about and said he wasn’t' letting some disease take over what he loved to do. So Nanny would hesitantly agree to his many trips to the Mariana. Lots and lots of land that he still was determined to do something with. He bought it when he was a young man and had many people wanting to buy it and he wasn't interested in letting go of it EVER, if you asked him why he said "o no, that's staying with me till I leave it behind. He taught my little brother things he would have never known since his Daddy died when he was only four. In fact my little brother to this date is working at the post office because he wants to be just like his Paps. My papaw would be so proud if he knew. I use to go down to the river sometimes just to watch him in his element. More equipment then one man would ever need or use but he had a love for machines and it shows! He built a river house on it, work buildings, storage units, his own levy, he was such an entrepeneur with so many trades and tricks up his sleeve, he could build anything, fix anything, good with cars, such a hands on kind of man..the best!! He loved baseball, especially watching Ashur, his favorite player of all time play. He would sit up on the hill at the ballpark in the car with Nanny and they didn't miss a game. Even when he didn't know much anymore like 3 years ago he was still making all the games. He loved to watch Ash play. Nanny told me that before he got worse he use to ask her like five times a day if they were going to watch Ashur play. She would say no, but then a few hours later he would ask if they could go again. He loved the Lord, I can still see him with those arms held high praising God and thinking to myself as a little girl how someday I wanted my husband to be like him. He never stopped telling me how proud he was of me and how happy I made him. He wasn't a man of many words but honey when he spoke...all listened! He believed in seeing the best in people and not judging others by the cover. When I was in college and his disease was just beginning I watched him interact with my sister Raain. He told everyone that was his baby! He idolized her, he didn't care what race she was, who looked funny because she didn't look like his, or how many times he was asked about why he was raising a little one this late in his life. Rain loved her Papaw. She slept in between Nanny and Papaw just like I did until Nanny passed away exactly a year and half ago from today. I think of the pain I'm feeling but then have to acknowledge how insecure at times she must feel to not have them on each side of her when she goes to bed at night. Sure she has her Mommy now, which is all Papaw and Nanny dreamed of for 25 years, but still no matter how many people you have in your life I can relate to feeling alone in a crowded room. He told me when I was in college that he felt like seeing me so determined brought him happiness and made him feel like all of his efforts were so worth it. I will never forget how that made me feel. When nanny called me and told me the devastating news of his test I will never forget where I was on the road and the pain that went with it. I cried and grieved then and continued to each time I saw him loose independence. I was glad Josh was driving my car because I wouldn't have made it on those back roads of between Conway and Little Rock. I cried until I couldn't anymore. I never let him know because he was already processing enough. He didn't want anyone to know because he didn't want anyone to worry. He drove until it wasn't possible anymore, he held me tight when I was scared, he watched me cheer, at my homecomings, plays, recitals, softball games, let me drive the car in the cemetery every Sunday after Church when I was like 13-16, and now I'm just as determined to be there for him. As a small child I didn't know what I gift I had with him and nanny taking care of me. How could you. They didn't know if I would ever remember all of the little things, they didn't know if I would rebel from what they taught me to be true, or if I would hurt them, or even how long they would have me, little did they know when they started it was for the long haul. I know people thing why would you spend so much time at the hospital when you know he doesn't know you are there, you know that you can't really help or change the disease, he won't remember one minute to the next, and my answer is because I don't care if he knows, I know because of my walk with the Lord that, HE WILL KNOW. He will see my heart when he does get his mind back in heaven and know that he was loved and not just left somewhere on people waiting for him to pass. He will know that all of his prayers had come true on my Mom being free of her addictions. He will see just how Good he knew the Lord to be. He will get the ultimate reward I have not one doubt. When you spend your entire life being a servant leader you will have a room full of people waiting to serve you is what his illness has taught me because of just how special he was to not just me but to all. There are people that he hasn't seen in years just coming to say Hi everyday. Even though they know the same things as me, that maybe right now he doesn't know we are who we are, but he isn't Alone and he is loved. He still smiles at all that make eyes with him and he is fighting hard. He has had a very rough two weeks. He is back in the hospital and has been for over a week now. It seems as though his entire body is starting to shut down. He has blood clots in his urine, he is rejecting the feedings, he is constantly throwing up, the antibiotics are working which is a praise, he has some type of skin infection on his back and the list keeps going. He is awake more than he was but it is awful to see him like this. He only stayed in the rehab center for three days and then developed pneumonia. He was only taking 8 breaths a minute but now seems to be over the hump and it is now everything else. It has been a battle of the mind to watch someone you love so much suffer. I haven't let Jackson see him since he has had his stroke just because of his critical thinking skills. He still to this day talks about Nanny and even reminds me of stories that I forgot. I am amazed at how much he remembers about their time together. I don't want him to remember Paps this way because I know Paps wouldn't like that. Yes it is a part of life but one that I choose to protect a little longer if possible. He now has a tube going through his nose draining his chest and stomach. He pulled it out today and it hurts me so because I know he probably doesn't understand why all these people poke and prod on him. He was such a private man, clean, germ freak, wouldn't even drink after one of the kids or Nan so this is just too much to bear. Please pray for him. I just want the Holy Spirit to grab him up and protect him with his comfort and peace beyond all measure. Beyond our ability to understand. I am hanging on to the fact of knowing what is waiting for him once his body forgets how to breathe. I mean first Althizimers...going on ten years, now a stroke, and now he is fighting with all he has to hang on...I asked him the other day why he was so determined; He didn't have to answer because that is just how Papaw is...he is a fighter..Always has been, always will be. He worked hard to have the things he sought out for. He never gave up on praying the same prayer over and over for God to heal my Mom. I can vividly remember him telling me that he knew that God would take her addictions away and make all things new because "that is what I will never stop believing!" How ironic that his very own care giver is now the person that so many said would never walk a day again free of alcohol and street drugs. How ironic that the person that has tended to his feedings, changing, and grooming for the past 18 months is the daughter that so many gave up on, except him. He did so many things to try to put it in his own hands, from rehab to rehab looking for the best one, to this philosophy, to this meeting, and now looking at the situation 25 years out, it wasn't a rehab, a dr. , a magic place, a drug, or a certain thing someone said, it was way out of our hands just like my Papaw always said. He always knew the power of healing and the power Christ had and never gave up on that. He let go of it completely and now that is such a powerful example in my own life to see how God will answer, it just might not be how we think or when we think he should. He is all knowing and will make all things Good. I'm trying to find how he will make Good out of paps current situation but I can hear Paps saying back to me even though he can't utter much than yes and no right now that "we aren't suppose to question him, just believe, and pray and know he will" I'm comforted by knowing that regardless of what Paps has going on I know that the Holy Spirit is there inside of him, giving him comfort that he probably right now doesn't have the mind to grasp. Such mystery and beauty all at the same time. Just like when you look at a mountain from far away. it is a mystery how something on this Earth stands so tall, then once you are on it, it seems like a thorn in your side, hard to see progress, hard to see the end in sight, and you can't remember what you found so stunning about it in the first place. Then at last you reach the top and you again are reminded of the gift of the mountain. Papaw always held my hand on the walk up the mountain and now Jesus is holding his. Papaw when you get there I hope you smile for the day you looked forward to the most is at last yours. And Don't worry Jesus is with me too holding on to me tight until I get to the top and know that I choose to hold onto to him and not of this world all because of You papaw and your beautiful legacy you are leaving behind.

Celebrating Pops B-Day

img_Nov_14_2009_50_56img_Nov_14_2009_51_43img_Nov_14_2009_54_23img_Nov_14_2009_24_08 So your Grandpa, or Dad's Dad, better known as Pops turned 60 last week. For his bday surprise we made him a video with pics of his life and what he means to us and all his family and friends. I swear he can't go anywhere around here without knowing someone since he has coached for many many years. He even coached my Dad and then was my Coach and teacher of history at high school which I'm sure is crazy for him to think about since his son married me. I guess since my Dad had me at 17 and Pops had just started coaching is how that worked out the way it did. How funny but I never really thought about this til just now but my DAd was only in 10th grade when Josh was born. What's even more crazy is that when me and Josh started dating my Dad and Mom were both in their 30's. Yes that's how our kids have so many Aunt and Uncles the same age or not too much older than them. Lots of times there is confusion and questions but our kids think it is the norm and have never once asked why. I love how open our generation is about familly dynamic and not being so critical as it was when I was a child from what I can remember. So Pops had a great celebration for his 60th. Uncle J and STeph hosted a fun surprise party and all of his old friends, teachers, family, etc..were invited. It was a huge surprise. His face walking in was priceless. I made a video for his party and thought I would share here so any of you that didn't get a chance to see it yet could easily view it here. Just let me know if you want a copy. I loved looking at all his childhood pics because I could see so much of Josh and my kids too. I wonder what our grandkids will say or think about our childhood pics. I'm sure the quality will be something that we can't even process right now. Pops we love you for who you are, who you've been, and who you will always be. It's hard to believe that you have been such a big part of my life for over 13 years, that you were my teacher and boyfriend's Dad 12 years ago, and then became true family over 7 years ago. You have always been there for me and are so easy to talk to. I love our talks and especially watching you with the kids. You can tell how much they love and admire you from the moment you walk in the door. Their little faces always light up and they wait in anticipation until you arrive if they know you are on the way. Thank you for being more than a father-in-law and loving my Grandparents and siblings and really everyone in my family to think of like they are your very own family. I know Ashur, Autie, Jimmy, Raain, Luke, Savanna, my Dad and Shan, Mamaw Nellie, and so many others that come to mind thatjust love to be around you. It is nice to know that regardless of what vacation or who in my family is going that you can just fit right in no matter what. It makes for a very special treat going on a trip and getting my fam + Josh's! This is very rare we know and only works because of your ability to make others feel so welcome and can make the best of any travel arrangements. You are so accomadating to all and are a pleasure to be around. I remember my Papaw Calvin always saying how "that man, is a good man right there." And Nanny would always tell me how you were one of the nicest people she knew and how she loved you going to Branson with us so many years in a row. She use to say that there weren't too many good men like you left in the world and I promise she called it like she saw it believe me! She could talk your ear off and you seemed to never grow tired and truly listened. For that alone you will always be a gem in my eyes. Maybe one day me, you, and Josh can go play golf again. It sure doesn't seem like long ago I was on your Golf team in high school. Too bad cheering took up so much time although I did get a lot better once in college so you never know maybe there is hope for when I get older and get a free moment if that ever happens that is. Hard to believe how fast life goes by when you look at it like that because I still feel young and you sure don't look or act 60!! Now just in case if you are wondering your grandkids love for you here is what they said:Jackson says "Pops is the greatest Pop ever because he loves baseball like me and he is really really good at playing it with me, he helps me ride my bike, and he plays games with me, plus he takes me outside everyday on my playground(note:its not everyday but extra bonus pts for u that he thinks it), and I like him because he brings me home when I need him too, and he likes the same movies I like. He lets me watch Disney channel, he reads stories to me sometimes, and he ummm wraps the covers behind me, and um uh when I wake up in the middle of the night he comes in there with me and that's why I love him so much." This was his exact response word for word as I typed it as he was talking in response to me saying "what do you like the most about your POP? Just your fav would be great!" Of course he couldn't just stick with one thing so then I told him I think that about covered it:)! Bailey says "I love him because he is so nice, my friend, gets me food when I need it, loves on me, and is my POP." And if Brooklyn could answer the question I'm sure she would say close to the same thing and maybe say because you smile everytime you see me! Josh and I say because of your heart and love for others and The Lord. You are slow to anger, enjoy doing for others, enjoy life and put your family first. Happy 60th! Hope it was the best one yet and continutes to be full of wonderful joyful moments. You deserve them that's for sure. Love....all 5 of us! Copy and paste the link below to view the show.

Trip to the Ozarks

We just spent one week in the Ozarks at Big Cedar Lodge about ten miles out side of Branson. It was beautiful, amazing, and very special family time. Meme even cameup for a few days and joined in on the fun. The kids went horseback riding for the first time at Big Cedar stables, went swimming almost everyday, another hightlight was the "Miracle of Christmas show" at Sight and Sound Theatre and Dixie Stampedee. The last night we braved the cold and went to Silver Dollar City. It was 16 degrees and the only thing you could see on our babies were the whites of their eyes. Of all things Daddy forgot his coat on our trip so needeless to say he was quite the brave one of the night. The rides were closed except the train, mine ride, fire in the hole, and other indoor stuff. It was too cold for them to run believe it or not. We stayed for over four hours and then enjoyed our lst night in the condo. We have never stayed seven nights this time of year but it was nice to not feel rushed and just enjoy the view some too. The lodge has every board game and movie a kid could want and the best part was they could check them out for free every day. Free putt-putt was also their and we had to do this our first day there once Jackson saw this. He is quite the golfer and fisherman so he enjoyed the atmosphere of Big Cedar as well. Meme didn't get to go to Silver Dollar since it rained the day we were suppose to go but hopefully someday she will get the chance to go with us. We also did the Festival of Lights and Jacks got to drive the car which is always a highlight of his. Not much shopping took place but I've noticed the shopping time allocated seems to decrease with every year..lol. Lots and lots of pics. trying to get them up. Here are a few.

way too long

OMG has it really been since Jan. since I made an entry. Okay I can so tell the world is changing and facebook and twitter are for sure all the rage and how your Momma stays connected to all her friends and family. It use to be a lot of stories here but chasing three and sometimes four or more kiddos around while starting a business is well lets just say CRAZY at times. Here is some pics from our spring break trip to SC last week. We had a blast and I did lots of captions to tell stories behind the pics. Well Miss Brooklyn you turned two a few weeks ago and loved just getting all the attention from your family. We got you a doll that cries real tears and you love her so much. We asked the rest of our family to give you money to go on your disney gift card for our disney trip we have planned in jULY. We can't wait!!! We are going to plan your party with Bailey's party so we can do a joint one since your birthdays seemm to all fall right after the other. You both like the same things so it should be easy to find something you both want to do. You both loves babies, barbies, singing and dancing, outside, candy and sweets, makeup, mommy's shoes and clothes, to play dress up, to play house, and many other things that keep you guys busy every day all day. Bailey you have recently been asking if you can do tumbling classes and cheer. You love to play gymnastics with Mommy and learn new tricks. Jackson you started tball again and LOVE IT! You are on the six year old team this year and omg it is very different from last year. Your first tournament started thur and then you play mon, tues, and wed night. This sports stuff is no joke and there is nothing you would rather be doing. Its the first year to make outs, run more than one base, win or loose, etc. You guys lost by one run and you weren't happy. I have no idea where you get your competitive edge from. You love school and Mrs sims. You are learning to read and I;m so proud of you. You love to learn. I can't believe Bailey will be at your school next year. One in 5k, one in 4k, and Brooklyn could do 3k but I'm just not ready for all that just yet. So looks like in the fall it will be just me and Brooklyn at home while they are at school which will be a very special time indeed. Bailey had to be taken out of school in Oct because she got a form of a pox virus that lasted over 8 months. It didn't cause fever or illness but did go to staph twice so we had to be seen by top drs at ar children's hosptial and get yeast injected into her back and stomach to fight off the virus. Her immune system was slow to react but the shots of yeast did miracles...especially since the drs that treated her said it was one of the most severe cases of mollosucum(not sure on the sp?) they had treated or seen. She has fully recovered as of last month and the only reason I didn't panic I think was because I had the exact same thing when I was in third grade only back then drs didn't know exactly what to do. Most people thaat get it have a few places that look like a wart but Bailey had hundreds. It was contagious and Brooklyn and Jackson got it but they were the norm and only had five spots at the most and now it is gone. From what I have learned a lot of kids have it and it goes unnoticed or parents assume it is actually a wart but in reality it is a form of a pox virus that doesn't have a cure yet but there are things you can do to help. I say all of this just in case someone ever reads this and needs to know or in case you someday it is needed for when you have a child. Okay so at least that is something now for an update. I could go on and on about life and you three but I'll leave it with Happy Easter. After we went to the beach last week we went to Atlanta and went to six flags over GA. It was a blast and Jackson rode his first real big wooden roller coaster. Bailey even got a lot braver and rode many things that normally she wouldn't have chosen to do. I am so proud of my three babies and although I think i have the hardest job on earth I wouldn't want to be working anywhere else. The kids had fun outside with learning some new tricks recently. I love this time of year! I taught them how to fly a kite a few weeks ago and you can how much they loved it from the pics. Brooklyn had her 2 yr ck up. We waited and did her 18 month shots at 2 so she got those too. She weighed 30 lbs and was 34 1/4 inches long. She wear a size 6 1/2 shoe, size 4 diaper, and 2T in clothes. She talks all the time non stop. Loves people and to laugh and smile even when in trouble or mad if that tells you anything about her temperment. Here is a slideshow short scrapbook page i made with our fun time flying her first kite.

The newest member of the Verdell Family

img_May_24_2010_15_46 So a lot has happended this spring. Lots of sweet moments including the birth of the kids first cousin, Landen Harper Verdell. He was born on May 17th and is just precious. His long hair is just beautiful and the kids already day dream about the day they can play with him. He looks so much like Jordan and I'm so proud of how amazing the new parents are doing. Here are a few pics of the kids getting to meet him and we took them dinner last night and got some more precious time with him. Daddy and I can't hold him enough. We look forward to many more fun times with our first nephew.
