Daddy is 31

So Daddy's big weekend was fun. He turned 31 on MLK day this year so Jackson you were out of school and thought that was the coolest. Mommy took Daddy on a little surprise getaway this past weekend. He had no idea that I even was planning on us going out Friday night much less leaving the state. I got all three of you off to different destinations and you guys were so excited to be with Pops, Mamaw, Meme, and Aunt Steph and Uncle J. Yes it takes a village for 3 babies for 2 nights!! All three of you got one on one while we were away and you could tell you guys loved it. Miss Bailey you even got your first mani and pedi with Aunt Steph and from the pics she showed me it looked like you were in heaven. I have heard about it a lot since returning home which is precious. Still such a girly girl. So Daddy walks in the door after working all day at like almost 7pm and I already had the car packed, kids gone, had a shower..lol and make up which is huge. And he looked at me and said ooo no where are we going. Do we have plans or something that I forgot about. You can tell by this response that I am usually not standing in the kitchen fixed up in a "going out" outfit, with shoes on because btw I don't wear them in the house, it's Ar after all and the lights out for the most part. I said well we are going to dinner to celebrate your bday...Daddy's response "can't we do it tom. night since it is already so late tonight? Btw where are the kids..I don't hear them, it's spooky quiet." So you can see that my spontaneous side wasn't rubbing off exactly on the Bday boy. I had to do a lot of convincing to just get him talked into going out for the night. Then it was off to eat...or so he thought. I hid all of the luggage in the back under blankets and then also used the kids backpacks to put some cargo in because I knew he wouldn't think anything of seeing those in there. I wasn't planning on him working so late on a Friday night so I bet it was hard for him to get excited about going to some restaurant where you had to have reservations..or at least that is how I convinced him that we had to leave that very second. 2 hours later we are in Memphis TN, then Tunica Mississippi to stay for the weekend at the Horseshoe. Josh and I haven't been in like 10 years since we don't gamble really but my Uncle offered us a free weekend there with all of the food and entertainment included. Once Josh then figured out we were having a kid free weekend just relaxing..he was very happy he decided to join me in celebrating his bday. I ate more crab legs and shrimp cocktail then I care to share and many more tasty treats. Each meal we ate we enjoyed for at least an hour! So so fun. The big surprise for Daddy was Sat night at Gold Strike, Uncle Robbie got us tickets to Air Supply...a successful group from the 80's. Since we love the 80s it was perfect. We were on the 3rd row and had just as much fun watching them as we did watching some of the fans. We then watched the Vikings kill the Cowboys..wooohooo on Sunday and it was then time to head home. A very fun place to just spend time with Daddy and get away from the never ending to do list around the house. Then Monday night you three kiddos all helped me cook him a special Bday dinner. Jackson and Bailey even helped cook the hamburger meat on the stove for the enchiladas. Then my Brother Jimmy surprised Josh with a cookie cake which is his fav. The kids were of course loving that surprise. Brooklyn loved seeing her Daddy blow out the candles and then wanted a turn. It was hilarious though because as soon as he pushed it over to you the trick candles lit back up and you didn't think that was too funny. You made us push it away and wanted to blow from far back. Here are a few pics from our weekend. Btw the Michael Jackson song to it is one of our Jackson's favs. Yes he loves Michael Jackson and has since he was 2!
