New Year
Time for 2010
A new year, a new start..hey even a new decade. My new year resolution is: number 1.to post more on our family blog so we can remember all of the little things that so easily slip our memory, number two is to get a little more organized since it seems like we have so many directions we are going at once, and three to spend a little more time one on one with God and in His Word. We had a great holiday season. I am so upset because I just typed for over twenty minutes on all of the details of Christmas and what we did and our new and old traditions and I accidently hit the back button instead of post button and it is gone...so mad right now I have to laugh after the day I had especially since I haven't got to make an entry in so long. My computer broke and for Christmas I got a new one..woohoo. I was just waiting on my login info since I couldn't get to it on my old laptop and it was making me enter the log in info that I never had to entire since it was from my other computer that logged into it so much. You see a rather large size 11 shoe crushed my last computer but I promised I wouldn't tell so that is left for you to use your imagination on but I am now up and running again. Wow still mad about all of the quotes I put on there just now of the kids that got erased but maybe after some sleep I will get over it and stop whinning and just retype it all back out. Josh tells me everytime this has happened that I should type in first in Word and then that way it can just dissappear. Why don't I listen..I guess every now and then he can be right..lol. Maybe one day I will learn. Jackson asked so many questions about Santa this year and he wanted to know if Jesus made Santa, and if Santa was ever a baby, and if Santa can see him like Jesus can. This put a lot of thought on my end because I never want him to confuse the two but also know that he is so so smart when it comes to critical thinking skills. So I told him that no only Jesus can see him and hear him and that God made everything including our hearts and minds and imagination and we would just have to imagine what Santa does since we don't get to fly with him or since we didn't ever see him as a Baby. He then asked if where Jesus was born is still here or close to Arkansas. I told him it was way far away but yes and he said I really want to go there walk where Mary and Joseph did and where Jesus use to teach people. I told him that a lot of those places are dangerous now but that maybe someday we could. We went to all of our usual places this year except Romance. We were exhausted and just needed to be home. Daddy and me stayed up working on some presents we bought you and Jimmy and Raain so we laid down about the time u woke up which was way earlier than normal like when it was still dark out(5:30am) so by 10am we were beat and didn't feel up to driving back roads since the roads were flooded. You guys had a blast all day and it was magical to watch. We did Raain and Jimmy's christmas am stuff for them too since my Mom aka Grandy was working all night. She is now a CNA for the elderly and works almost every night 11pm to 7am then sleeps after getting Rain to school. Nanny and Paps would be so so proud and we are too. God really can bring on life change, it doesn't matter how bad you think it is, or what decisions you have made, or your past, or what you must overcome...he can move mountians..believe me I have seen it first hand. She gives him all of the glory for walking away from the life she lived for over 20 years to where she is now and functions in ways that we use to dream about for her. She will help many with addictions I have a feeling to find strength and get out of a never ending battle. At the Dr. yesterday Bailey weighed 34 pounds. Brooklyn goes Monday. Bailey has had a pox virus and it turned into staph this week so today was full of injections in her back, cutting to let some of the drainage occur and send off to labs, and being looked at by 5 Dr's just today. She is on lots of meds for the infection and started a newer treatement being done to get rid of the virus that started on her arm and now covers most of her body except head and face praise God. The staph was on her stomach area so at least it is very eas to keep covered and keep protected. Due to her ecezma she scratches a lot even on hydroxine every night so this is why the virus has spread and it made it that much more severe. It was the worst case of molloscum that her PCP Dr. had ever seen and up there with one of the worst that The Children's hosptial group of dr's had seen. She was such a champ and didn't even cry when getting three shots in her back which amazed me and everyone else. She says the sweetest things about Nanny all the time like out of the blue will say "Mommy did u know Nanny is eating right now." Then she will lay there longer and out of no where said "Mommy don't worry Nanny is laying down now, Jesus covered her up so she isn't cold. She is dreaming good dreams already." Another example she said just last week "Mommy Nanny is holding lots of babies in heaven until there mommies get up there to them." How in the world can a three year old have so much insight into the world that awaits us. Sometimes it makes me wonder if God gives kids that gift to be a testiomony to us that he and heaven are just as real to Bailey as the world we are living and breathing in today. Kids do a much better job with believing with out seeing vs most adults. It is such a beautiful example of what our faith is suppose to be. Jackson asked me if the place where Jesus walked on Earth is still able for people to get to. I said I'm sure and he said well I want to go see it. I want to walk where Jesus walked and see where he was born." Brooklyn is talking up a storm and full of it as always. She is starting to express herself and temper occasionally more and more with her likes and dislikes. Even when she is bad she still can't keep from grinning if you smile at her just a little. She loves people. She says most animal sounds and loves Sprite, cheese dip, tomatoes, salad, pizza, fries, spaghetti, cheese, ice, cake, ice crem, applesauce, mac and cheese, tacos, hot sauce, chocolate, sausage, to dip anything, and I could keep going. Bailey still will only eat those three or four things still which makes dinner time such a challenge bec she is allergic to so much and dislikes so many things as well. Thank goodness for vitamins and that she gets some protein from ckn. If you can believe what Bailey eats...aka..chicken nuggets..Brooklyn would rather pass on. Brooklyn would much rather go for a cheese buger with all the fixings. She and Jackson like the same exact foods which is a blessing. She loves the Wiggles, Scobby Doo, Doodle Bops, and even movies like Haunted Mansion, and High School Musical...sound familiar...??? Yes she is having the same movie tastes that Jackson did at two which cracks me up. Bailey would so much rather watch a Barbie movie or Strawberry Shortcake and Brooklyn and Jackson like the loud, scary, over the top drama movies...go figure. We have Spring Break already planned. We are taking the kiddos to Myrtle Beach for a week. We have never been before so we look forward to a new adventure. Can't wait until they are old enough to snow ski. We hope 2010 is a year full of peace, togetherness, love, and joy. We need it!! I have accepted that no matter how much I want to feel the same as I did when Nanny was here I probably won't but I must still learn how to enjoy my kids and fight for that daily even when I feel so so sad and lost with out her and my Papaw. I have gained more confidence in my ability to fend for myself just this past year I would say and now I strive to just make them proud of the Mommy, wife, and woman of God I try to be and serve others well as they did every day. I am happy I have access to my blog again and have kept up with all the sayings and funny moments over the past month so lots of catching up to do on here. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Well at least I made up some of the entry that was just lost. Maybe I can finish tomorrow.
