Halloween 2009
Trick or Treat Time
Halloween was actually Papaw's funeral so we didn't want that to take away from the kids having fun trick or treating. Although we didn't go see everyone like we usually do we still got dressed up and took the kids trick or treating and then passed out candy at our house. It was such a long day but the kids had a blast! They looked so cute all dressed up. Bailey was butterfly, Brooklyn a lady bug, then Bay wanted me to be a bumble bee, Jackson was a power ranger, and Raain was the kid Micheal Jackson from the Jackson 5 days. It was precious. The funniest moment of the night was when a puppy ran out of a house Bay was trick or treating at and it scared her. She started running screaming and cryin and the owner finally caught up with the dog. While I was comforting her and the owner was making sure she was okay I said "bay that puppy isn't going to hurt you, he is nice." And she said, "Mommy but I allergic!!!" It made me and the owner laugh which was just what I needed. The kids then layed out all their candy once we got home and sadly Mommy and Daddy along with them have eaten almost all of it. No wonder I love Halloween so much, I'm a candy addict. Bailey is too more so than jackson and brooklyn so we have had some good candy breaks over the past two weeks. Life is starting to get back into a rountine. Stephanie and Jordan had a surprise party for Pops. He turned sixty last week. His face walking in was priceless. He really had no clue. Branson is only two weeks away. The kids ask about it every single day now. I am enjoying my precious time with them right now. They seem to make me smile when I sure don't feel like it. Jackson is full of questions again about heaven, Jesus, and many other philiosophical topics. I love it!! He keeps me on my toes and in the Word that is for sure. He actually brought me the Bible..not a kid one...and asked me to read to him out of the "real" bible the story of Daniel and the Lions Den. So we did and even I learned something new. The wives and kids were thrown in with the men that turned Daniel in after the Kind saw the lions didn't get Daniel. The questions that came from jacks after learning this were those instances that I came back with the response of "you will just have to ask Jesus when you get there sweet-heart"!!
